TEQUILA A GRAND
DEBACLE blasting trout
overbite was at the peak of its powers on January 17th, 2004 when it took
to the stage at a HUB open mic and performed the classic 50's instrumental
"tequila" for what some estimate 10 minutes straight. the basic theory
was this: the song never ends. so we'd use it to close our allotted set
of three songs, playing the infinite song until something (or someone)
stopped us. the idea had been kicking around for a while, and now that
we had Foodbag to wield the trombone for us, the timing was perfect. luckily
for us, april was able to capture some footage with her camera. we should
all thank april for her foresight in preserving this historic event.
here are the final 4 minutes.
lineup (l-r):
foodbag - trombone
paul - guitar
arthur - drums
dan - guitar
matt - bass
plus:
plasket, as the guy in the black coat
who dances
the other people dancing did so under their
own volition!
a keen eye will catch none other than
an utterly disgusted taylor kingsbury in the audience!
